If other participants can't hear you during a Blitzz session, the cause is usually one of these:
- Your microphone isn't working properly
- Their speakers aren't working
- Microphone permission is turned off
- Network issues
Start by running a pre-call test to check that your microphone is set up and working.
Quick fix: restart both computers
This solves most issues. Other video or calling apps can block access to your microphone or speakers. Have both you and the other participant restart your computers, then try again.
Other fixes to try
Refresh your browsers
Sometimes the browser doesn't connect to the mic or speakers properly. Have both participants restart their browsers.
Check that their speakers are on
Make sure the other participant can hear sound. If they have headphones or other speakers connected, check that sound isn't playing there. They can play this test video to confirm.
Check the selected microphone and speakers
Open Call Settings before or during a call to see which mic and speakers are in use. If you have more than one audio device (built-in mic, external mic, headset), pick the one you're using. Both participants should check.

Make sure you have a microphone
Your computer may not have a built-in mic, or it may be unplugged or off. Make sure a working microphone is connected and turned on.
Check that you're not muted
If your mic has a mute button, make sure it isn't on. Also check the Blitzz mute button.
Allow microphone access in your browser
The first time you join a Blitzz session, your browser asks for microphone permission. If you denied it, others can't hear you. Reset your microphone permissions and rejoin.
Update your browser
Outdated browsers can cause audio problems. Make sure you have the latest browser version.
Check your computer settings
Windows or Mac settings may block the mic. Check your microphone permissions and sound settings.
Try a different browser
Your browser may have an issue. Try another one. Blitzz works with Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari.
Check antivirus, firewall or parental controls
These can block microphone access. Review their settings.
Update your camera and microphone drivers
Use Device Manager, Lenovo Vantage or Logi Capture (for Logitech devices) to update your webcam and mic drivers.
