Use these tests to find the cause of poor call quality. Each one takes only a few minutes.
1. Firewall test
Checks whether your network blocks any IP addresses or ports that Blitzz needs.
2. Network stability test
Checks how stable your connection is. If the result says Network Appears Unstable, your router or internet provider is most likely causing the call quality issues.
3. Internet speed test
Checks your connection speed. You and your participant each need at least 540 kbps upload and download for a good call.
Still having issues?
Ask the participant to try the following:
- Switch to Wi-Fi instead of mobile data when possible. LTE and 4G networks can add latency to manage congestion.
- Close or pause apps and downloads that use bandwidth.
- Move closer to the router, or place the router in an open area away from walls and doors.
- If connected to a VPN, disconnect and test again. If quality improves, ask their IT team to allowlist Blitzz traffic or enable split tunneling. See the firewall configuration guide.
