Use these tests to diagnose your call quality. These tests may take a few minutes to run.
1. Firewall Test
Run the following tests to thoroughly test your network for any blocked IP addresses or Ports:
2. Network Stability Tests
Use this to determine the stability of your network. If you get "Network Appears Unstable", then your router or internet service provider is most likely the cause of your quality issues.
3. Internet Speed Test
Use this to determine your connection speed. Both you and your participant need at least 540kb/s download and upload speeds to have a good call:
If you are still experiencing quality issues, ask the user to:
- Use WiFi on mobile whenever possible. (Mobile networks like LTE and 4G introduce latency as a congestion management solution)
- Reduce any unneeded activity on their network
- Move closer to their router or move the router’s location to an open space with minimal obstructions (doors, walls, etc)
- Check if they are behind a VPN, if so, ask them to disconnect from VPN and see if the latency improves
